While in my 20’s the last thing I was thinking about is Botox and anti-aging treatments. I have always thought only “older” women get Botox. I have had a long wrinkle across my forehead for as long as I can remember. When I started interning for RRFP I realized you are never too young to start anti-aging. When it came to my face in my 20s, I quickly learned the importance of good skin care, sunscreen and gentle exfoliation. At Radiant Skin Spa tucked inside RRFP they also wax eyebrows and perform laser hair removal treatments. I was going somewhere else for these routine things, but having it all under one roof was great for me.

Dr. Bowman gave me eight units of Botox in the lines across my forehead and in about 7 days they vanished. Since I am so young, it didn’t require many units for the lines to disappear but, it was a noticeable difference.

The sooner you start anti-aging the easier it will be to maintain your youthful looks. I mainly got Botox as a preventative measure. Botox relaxes your muscles to make it more difficult to scrunch your forehead so you can’t see wrinkles. Even after Botox wears off, I will be less likely to scrunch my forehead; therefore, it will be harder for new lines to form. If I could suggest anything for aging in your twenties it is to get ahead of the game, it will help you in the long run.
